The company is seeking a Manager of Software Development to lead an engineering team in developing new product features and enhancing existing products for their Horizon product stack.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead a highly skilled engineering team
Driving and delivering new features in the Provisioning space for Horizon product. Identifying areas of enhancement for the existing product offering, tools and processes
Managing customer issues and escalations in the areas of ownership
Managing team activities to meet delivery milestones, communicating status and risks to engineering leads and release team
Responsible for hiring, compensation and bonus planning for the team
Overseeing daily engineering activities for the team including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, architectural reviews, customer support, and release readiness
Setting goals for the team members, coaching engineers thereby fostering their sustainable growth, training and mentoring junior engineers

Required

Engineering Manager with combined industry experience of at least 12 years, including a minimum of 4 years of technical leadership experience managing a team of software engineers
The candidate should have a strong background in architecting and either designing enterprise software or cloud services
8 or more years of hands-on experience in software development including writing code using Java and C/C++ on Windows or Linux Platform
BS or higher in Computer Science or related disciplines
Passion for technology, accountability and dose of self-motivation
Experience with object-oriented design and multi-threaded programming
Knowledge of OS internals on Windows
Experience in large, distributed software systems
Experience in Cloud Platform such as Azure or AWS or OpenShift or hypervisors such as Vsphere or AHV

Preferred

MS or PHD will be given preference
Experience in AI technologies is a bonus
