Responsibilities
Motivating the team to achieve organizational goals
Empowering team members with skills to improve their skills
Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team
Delegating tasks to team members
Opening the bakery early in the morning
Providing an outstanding customer-focused experience
Greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
Cleaning kitchen equipment and tools before use
Measuring and combining ingredients
Weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
Shaping dough to prepare different types of baked goods
Using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment
Adjusting oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
Mixing various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and other baked goods
Decorating, packaging and/or displaying finished products
Preparing custom-made baked goods based on customers’ preferences (e.g. birthday cakes)
Ensuring that each item meets food safety and quality controls
Cleaning and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be 18+ years or older
Complete a pre-employment background check
Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
Obtain a Food Worker Card in your state
Preferred
Passion for baking recipes from scratch
Previous experience as a Baker, or similar role
Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
Understanding of food safety practices
Certification from a culinary school is a plus
