Responsibilities

Collaborating with agile teams to create mockups and specifications for developers, ensuring seamless implementation
Utilizing and contributing to McGraw Hill’s design system, maintaining consistency across digital products
Partnering with researchers to conduct user research and iterating designs based on findings
Staying updated on competitor products and industry trends to ensure McGraw Hill remains at the forefront of innovation
Fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration within the design team while maintaining a big-picture awareness across projects

Required

BA/BFA degree in Design, HCI, CS, or equivalent experience in related fields
3-5+ years of UX design experience, preferably in designing complex solutions for digital applications across web and mobile platforms
Applications without portfolio will not be considered
Self-driven and adaptable to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
Varied experience across digital applications, with a focus on creating intuitive and functional consumer-facing user interfaces
A passion for innovation and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the education space
Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment
Expertise in UX design processes, including wireframing, prototyping, and delivering design specifications
Proficiency in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Familiarity with accessibility best practices and standards, ensuring inclusive design

Preferred

A fundamental understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (preferred but not required)
Experience in EdTech or designing complex solutions for digital environments is a plus
