Responsibilities
DevOps Modernization: Upgrading the CICS DevOps Platform to a modern stack (GitHub + Harness + Azure)
AI Agent Engineering: Developing and governing AI Agents (using GitHub Copilot and Copilot Studio) to automate documentation, log analysis, and manual toil
Cloud Migration: Moving existing on-prem agentic platforms to a cloud-native architecture
Metrics & Observability: Implementing deep metrics initiatives to measure and improve developer productivity and platform health
Engineering & Customization: Design and build large-scale cloud automation. You will not use vendor tools "as-is"; you will script and customize AWS/Azure environments to eliminate manual processes
AI Agent Development: Build reusable AI agents that augment the SDLC-specifically agents for log analysis, documentation synthesis, and platform orchestration
Reusable Modeling: Utilize Terraform to develop reusable software components and infrastructure models that can be leveraged across the enterprise
Platform Engineering: Identify performance gaps in the ecosystem, share recommendations, and implement product improvements to ensure a high-performing "Golden Path" for developers
Governance: Help establish the standards and governance for agent development across the JCL organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree
Expert-level Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Scripting/AI work)
Exposure to Angular and JavaScript (minimum 10-20% of your role)
Hands-on experience with Harness (CI/CD), GitHub Enterprise, and Azure
Experience with Oracle and MongoDB
Deep experience with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code
Design and build large-scale cloud automation
Build reusable AI agents that augment the SDLC
Utilize Terraform to develop reusable software components and infrastructure models
Identify performance gaps in the ecosystem and implement product improvements
Help establish the standards and governance for agent development
Preferred
Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and Copilot Studio
Proven ability to build AI agents or use AI tools to significantly increase development velocity
