Program Manager - Whitacre Online Learning
The College of Health and Human Sciences at Texas Tech University is seeking a Program Manager for the Whitacre Online Learning program. Responsibilities
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program
Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics
Coordinate, schedule, and manage synchronous and asynchronous tools and equipment used in the delivery of Whitacre Online Learning classes, including classroom audiovisual technology, videoconferencing, and recording/streaming equipment
Coordinate with the Whitacre Online Learning Director, instructors, administrators, students, and staff to help identify issues and troubleshoot equipment affecting Whitacre Online Learning classrooms and students
Provide Whitacre Online Learning program and course information to prospective students, referring to an appropriate advisor when necessary
Participate in activities that support the College of Engineering's community outreach and recruiting efforts
Assist in maintaining and updating the Whitacre Online Learning website
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Problem-solving aptitude in approaching issues while exercising independent judgment and ethical decision-making with a minimal amount of supervision
Strong attention to detail
Professional attitude and appearance; openness to continued learning and upgrading skills
Perform other assigned duties under the direction of the Director
This position supervises student assistants who are responsible for actively monitoring and troubleshooting basic audiovisual problems in the Whitacre Online Learning classrooms during course instruction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Problem-solving aptitude in approaching issues while exercising independent judgment and ethical decision-making with a minimal amount of supervision
Strong attention to detail
Professional attitude and appearance; openness to continued learning and upgrading skills
Knowledge in online learning methodologies, technologies, and learning management systems
Demonstrated written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Organizational skills and initiative; ability to work well in a team environment
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service oriented, professional environment
Ability to think 'outside the box' and to lead and manage change in a positive and inclusive manner
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with audio visual technology
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in relevant field or Master's Degree
Five years progressively responsible management experience
Experience with adult learners in a university environment
Experience with Mediasite video streaming platform and familiarity with Learning Management Systems
