Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet
AS9100 involvement and internal & external auditing
Corrective action coordination and in-depth root cause analysis
Customer and supplier interaction (e.g. program management reviews, supplier audits, customer audits)
Lean Enterprise and Lean Manufacturing tools
First Article Inspection IAW AS9102
Reliability (MTBF, MTBUR) calculations
Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) analysis and reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree (required) in Engineering or a Quality-related technical discipline
Minimum 5 years electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality-related position
Working knowledge of SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Six Sigma
Experience with and demonstrated understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements
Experience with FAA regulatory requirements (14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65,120, & 145)
Proficient using Microsoft Office products, databases, and MRP system
Preferred
Bachelor degree in a Quality-related technical discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality-related position
Previous experience with printed circuit board electronics
Familiarity with J-STD and IPC standards
Certifications: ASQ CQA, CQE beneficial
