UnlockLand is a decision system that establishes a foundation for development decisions through a unified intelligence layer. They are seeking an Architectural Intelligence Designer who will evaluate real development sites using a 3D platform and communicate design tradeoffs while collaborating with various teams to refine tools.

Responsibilities

Evaluate real development sites using a 3D, constraint-aware platform
Interpret zoning rules, envelopes, setbacks, FSR/GFA/NFA, and massing limits
Propose early-stage design strategies under real-world constraints
Identify conflicts between geometry, regulations, and feasibility metrics
Communicate tradeoffs clearly (design quality vs yield vs compliance)
Suggest improvements to 3D modeling, UX, and calculation workflows
Collaborate with product, engineering, and development teams to refine tools

Required

Background in architecture, urban design, or building design
Strong understanding of zoning, envelopes, massing, and unit planning
Ability to reason spatially and analytically
Comfortable making assumptions when data is incomplete — and explaining them
Clear communicator of design tradeoffs and constraints
Experience with early-stage feasibility or schematic design
Familiarity with digital modeling tools (Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, or similar)
Interest in parametric, data-driven, or AI-assisted design workflows
Ability to critique tools, not just use them

Preferred

Exposure to development pro formas or yield analysis
Experience working with developers or planners
Interest in PropTech, AI, or computational design
