The SVP of AI Innovation – Web Scraping will lead the development and execution of Circana’s AI-enabled web scraping capabilities, focusing on acquiring external data assets to complement existing datasets and enable new services and market expansions.

Responsibilities
Define and execute the vision for AI-driven web scraping, aligning with Circana’s broader data strategy
Develop processes to identify, extract, and integrate data from external sources (e.g., retailer websites, inventory feeds) using advanced AI techniques
Implement AI and machine learning models to enhance web crawling, data parsing, and classification of scraped content
Ensure all scraping activities adhere to legal and ethical standards, using non-intrusive methods
Recruit and lead a specialized team focused on web scraping and AI innovation
Partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver data assets for new services (e.g., country expansions, category coverage like pet industry)
Monitor evolving technologies and adapt strategies to maintain efficiency and accuracy
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in web scraping and data acquisition at scale, with demonstrated use of AI/ML techniques
Strong understanding of data engineering, machine learning, and adaptive algorithms
Leadership experience building and managing technical teams
Ability to pivot quickly and solve complex data challenges in dynamic environments
Familiarity with compliance and data privacy regulations
Preferred
10+ years in data engineering, AI/ML, or related fields
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer data industries
