Mission Operations Engineer

They are seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to support spacecraft operations by developing mission plans, managing ground systems, and executing real-time flight operations.

Responsibilities
Develop and refine mission plans, including science objectives, operational strategies, and contingencies, including collaboration with system design and test teams to integrate full life cycle considerations into the vehicle and its operations
Oversee and maintain ground systems supporting spacecraft operations
Execute spaceflight missions, including monitoring spacecraft health, executing commands, and responding to anomalies in real time
Plan and coordinate spacecraft maintenance, including hardware/software updates
Manage mission data flow, from collection and processing to archiving and analysis
Train flight controllers and provide technical support during operations
Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure mission safety and reliability
Collaborate with internal and external scientists, engineers, and mission control teams to achieve objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in mission operations, flight control, or spacecraft systems
Team-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
U.S. Persons
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field
Experience supporting NASA or other spaceflight missions
Familiarity with ground control systems and data management tools
Knowledge of spacecraft design, orbital mechanics, or risk management practices
