Computer Numerical Control Machinist
Intertec Engineering is a specialized high-precision aerospace components manufacturer seeking a Swiss Lathe Machinist to operate and maintain their 7 Axis Swiss Lathe. The role involves expertise in manufacturing machined parts in accordance with FAA-approved procedures and ensuring the reliability of mission-critical aerospace components.
Responsibilities
Perform operations, maintenance, and service on our 7 Axis Swiss Lathe
Provide expertise in manufacturing of machined parts in accordance with manufacturing procedures and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA
Qualification
Required
2 – 5 years of Swiss Machining experience
Proven background and experience setting up, operating and maintaining any type of Swiss machine
Ability to review blueprints and drawings to determine set-up procedures, machining sequences, and dimensions. Must be able to set up jobs by loading programs, select fixtures, part holders, and tooling to machine parts to specifications
Familiarity with CNC machine controls and their functions (adjusting tool offset, indicating fixtures or parts, change tools and following along with the part program)
Ability to monitor tools and attachments to ensure parts are properly cooled and lubricated
Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and surface finishes related to blueprint requirements
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances
Mathematic skills include, but are not limited to, adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication
Must be capable of using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, dial bores, thread gauges, and basic measuring tools
Preferred
Familiar with Fusion 360, and PartMaker SwissCam preferred
