Responsibilities
Lead design, development, and optimization of the software source code base for new and existing products
Develop RTL code and integrate new designs into existing product code bases as required
Define and execute verification and validation activities including test plans, simulations, and performance validation
Collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and software developers to define requirements and implement solutions
Develop and maintain Linux and Windows application/driver components supporting hardware interfaces and networking functions
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across hardware/software interactions, including debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization
Support integration and sustainment of legacy designs while enabling new product feature development and release readiness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
8–15 years of software design and development experience on complex projects
3+ years of embedded software design and development in C/C++
RTOS experience (VxWorks, GHS INTEGRITY, or equivalent)
Experience developing applications and drivers in Linux and Windows
Proficiency with IDEs, source editors, and debug tools (GDB, WinDbg)
Ability to create and interpret Linux and Windows scripts
Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools
3+ years of software/hardware design experience in high-speed networking and TCP/IP protocols
Experience with hardware and communication interfaces/protocols: PCI/PCIe, USB, Thunderbolt 3/4, JTAG, SPI, I2C, RS-232/422/485, CAN
Preferred
Experience with MIL-STD-1553, Fibre Channel, and ARINC-429
Experience supporting DO-254 certification process across SOI stages
Experience with environmental testing standards (thermal, shock, vibration)
Knowledge of Multi-Chip Module (MCM) designs
Experience with simulation workflows and automated test execution for embedded systems
