Assembly Engineer - OEM Production (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Support and Maintain the creation of manufacturing/assembly instructions
Support APU and military engine production lines to ensure continuous production flow
Implement and execute engineering changes to ensure customer requirements are met and build commitments are achieved
Develop assembly engineering proficiency knowledge and skills
Promote the use of data driven root cause and corrective action tool usage to support investigations
On-Time production CAR (Corrective Action Request) closure
Support all EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives (PRA, Work-Fit, Ergo) by driving safe processes across production product lines
Support CORE activities as required

Required

A Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience
Experience motivating, influencing, collaborating and gaining cooperation and action from others
US Citizenship due to government contracts
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with ability to use Minitab and other statistical software; proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics

Preferred

Gas Turbine Manufacturing/Support experience
LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and/or CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training and experience
