Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment per schedule and document all preventative maintenance
Provide building and clean room (Class 10,000) maintenance Communicate and arrange with vendors to provide maintenance services of equipment, building, HVAC, lighting, etc
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
Maintain RO/DI Purified Water System
Writes reports and reviews/updates/creates standard operating procedures (SOPs) when needed
Troubleshoots processes and equipment; develop and implement corrective action
Completes detailed repair reports for production equipment
Supports and assists in the development of continuous improvement programs and participates in the implementation of these programs throughout the facility as required
Controls downtime by informing management and production workers of routine preventive maintenance activities
Uses power tools to fabricate or alter or adjust parts or components
Operates and maintain building security systems
The ability to work overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma required with 1-3 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment
Strong Mechanical aptitude required
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of MS office

Preferred

Associates Degree in a relevant field (technical, environmental, etc...) with 3-4 years of experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical environment or regulated industry preferred
Forklift certification with a minimum of one (1) year of experience utilizing equipment to move heavy objects and materials (Pallet Jack, dollies, etc...) preferred
Basic knowledge of applicable GMP and ISO regulations and Federal and State Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, MassDEP)
Basic knowledge of complex equipment using PLC controls
Basic Knowledge of HVAC systems as applied to cleanrooms
Knowledge of environmental controls
