Responsibilities
Operate and troubleshoot greenhouse environmental control systems, including irrigation programming, lighting (racks and bulbs), and climate alarms
Support the full lifecycle of research projects—from installing irrigation and planting to sampling, pollination, and final harvest
Ensure the facility remains a world-class research environment through routine equipment checks, cooling system maintenance, and strict sanitation protocols
Work across multiple greenhouse sites, contribute to operational protocols, and provide timely updates to the research team
Qualification
Required
Experience with (or a strong interest in) greenhouse automation, irrigation systems, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment
Comfort working in greenhouse, field, and lab settings—sometimes in adverse conditions—with the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
High attention to detail, basic math competency, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
A willingness to obtain Ag Worker and Pesticide Handler training
The ability to work independently and commit to a schedule that includes some weekends and holidays
