Project Manager, Newborn Screening Collaborative

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, and reporting of the NBSC
Works closely with NBSC program staff (employees, consultants, and contractors), assigns tasks, and ensures their appropriate completion of the NBSC workplan
Plans the programmatic activity of the NBSC
Gathers public data, policy information, or other resources needed to support the NBSC’s work
Oversees the day-to-day operational aspects of the NBSC and ensures budget alignment
Provides staff support for ACMG committees pursuing projects related to newborn screening
Assist ACMG Foundation staff with identifying and pursuing funding opportunities including writing grant proposals, developing appropriate partnerships, and developing budgets
Relationship building with national partners to increase knowledge of, utilization of, and efficacy of the NBSC system
Develops and submit reports on project activities
Directs interactions with NBSC committee, workgroups, partners, and special projects teams
Provides administrative support for all NBSC efforts
Maintains calendar of events for the NBSC’s activities
Maintains appropriate and up-to-date documentation of processes
Facilitate all NBSC virtual and in-person meetings
Prepares and distributes meeting materials and meeting summaries
Develops and updates NBSC content on the website
Serves as primary contact for NBSC inquiries
Corresponds and follow-up with co-chairs, domain experts, curators and other members
Maintains an active roster of the NBSC and helps communicate the group’s goals to the public
Prepares and edits correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents as requested
Coordinates all press campaigns with the Communications/Public Relations department
Attends monthly ACMG staff meetings
Performs other related duties as assigned
Work with other ACMG departments (advocacy, communications, meetings, guidelines, etc.)

Required

Minimum bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) in science, public health, or related field with relevant experience in newborn screening
A minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience in project/program management
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and function independently and with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across many professional settings and within all levels of government
Must possess exceptional organizational skills, a proactive attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Needs to demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, both oral and written
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, SharePoint, and Asana
Able to work autonomously and capable of independently identifying and resolving issues
