Responsibilities
Development and updating software libraries as required for both new features and software optimization
Design and coding of software utilizing C#, VB.NET, FactoryTalk and Studio 5000
Ensure application performance, uptime and maintain high standards of code quality and design
Design and implement secure and scalable SQL database solutions
Create and maintain application documentation
Work with the design team to support upcoming system requirements
Ensuring interoperability with other code modules within the system
In-house validation and customer implementation/start-up support
Troubleshoot environment, connectivity and integrations
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
5+ years of professional experience in developing and maintaining applications
2+ years of experience in HMI/PLC programming of industrial machinery
Experience with Rockwell Automation control systems is a plus
Familiarity with SCADA/HMI programming platforms such as Factory Talk
Ability to program in multiple languages, including ladder logic, structured text, and VB scripting
Familiarity with JavaScript is a plus
Ability to multi-task effectively and thrive in a team environment
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Ability to perform extended periods of sedentary work, including sitting for prolonged durations
Ability to use a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment
Ability to read engineering drawings, technical documents, and computer screens for extended periods
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach in office or industrial environments
