Responsibilities
Design, build, and scale production systems across the stack (frontend and backend) in order to power our AI conversation and workflow platform
Lead architecture for microservices and event-driven systems while setting patterns for reliability, performance, and observability
Ship high-quality, secure features from spec to production including API design, data modeling, code reviews, CI/CD, and instrumentation
Collaborate with AI and Product teams to turn business problems into robust software that integrates prompts, automations, and guardrails
Improve developer experience through testing strategies, build pipelines, documentation, and operational runbooks
Mentor early and mid-career engineers while raising the bar on code quality and engineering excellence
Partner with Customer Success during go-lives to ensure smooth deployments and capture learnings
Qualification
Required
12+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems at scale
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or similar) plus HTML/CSS and responsive design
Backend expertise in Go, Rust, or Python (Go preferred) with a strong understanding of API design, concurrency, and performance tuning
Deep experience with PostgreSQL including indexing, query optimization, and migrations with a pragmatic approach to data modeling
Solid background in RESTful services, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments; familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus
Strong communicator who can explain tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to deliver outcomes in a startup environment
