LCRA is seeking a driven Learning & Development Specialist to join their Water Learning & Development team. This role focuses on analyzing learning needs and creating custom learning solutions for Water Operations and Water Resources departments.

Responsibilities

Work closely with department managers to understand unique business performance gaps and learning needs. Lead collaborative efforts to develop ad hoc training solutions
Ensure learning and development programs are engaging and relevant to employees in various work environments
Manage a wide variety of day-to-day learning and development activities
Utilize learning management systems to administer training
Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness

Required

Six or more years of experience in companywide and/or operational training and development programs or other relevant experience
A degree(s) in human resource management, business administration, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience
Driver's license

Preferred

Previous experience working in a technical industry and/or developing technical training
Experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning and development programs
Skill in establishing credibility, trust, and partnership at all levels of the organization
Advanced skill in effectively partnering with leaders to design ad hoc/custom learning and development solutions
Advanced communication skills, including verbal and written to all levels of an organization
Skill in using learning management systems
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate 360 and Camtasia
