Board Certified Behavior Analyst - (Clinical Behavioral Specialist II) - Pueblo Regional Center
NEOGOV is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to work at the Pueblo Regional Center, which provides therapeutic support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
Ensure that the people in services receive the necessary services and support for stabilization
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments, develop treatment and behavior intervention plans, monitor behavior programs, analyze data, and provide clinical oversight to DSPs
Regularly consult with the Medical team at the Regional Center, as well as outside providers, to ensure comprehensive and appropriate treatment
Conduct assessments and provide treatment recommendations, provide data and consultation to the Human Rights Committee and interdisciplinary team (IDT), train DSPs and IDT members regularly
May be required to appear in court to represent the agency in regard to Imposition of Legal Disability (ILD) hearings and/or participate in criminal hearings and/or probation meetings as part of the IDT
Provide agency-wide training as needed
Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
Work with the Support Services Coordinators (SSC) and Interdisciplinary Team IDTs to gather information about the person served
Provide ongoing training and oversight to Direct Support Professional (DSPs)
Make appropriate and accurate clinical decisions based on data collected through behavior intervention plan procedures and other assessments
Engage in regular consultation with PRC teams to ensure comprehensive and appropriate care for people in services
Participate in Community Support Team (CST) meetings, Human Rights Committee (HRC) meetings, and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings when needed and appropriate
Stay current on physical management and de-escalation training
Attend training relevant to behavior and psych team members
Develop and provide behavior analytic training to PRC staff members
Attend and participate in relevant meetings within PRC and with community providers/members
Travel to remote work sites and may transport the individuals served
Attend and participate in psychiatric appointments/clinics
Qualification
Required
Eight (8) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position equal to eight (8) years
BCBA certified, actively enrolled in a (BACB) verified course sequence Program, or ability to sit and pass the exam within 1 year of hire. Inability to do so may result in termination
Preferred
Master's degree from an accredited institution in counseling, psychology, social work or behavior analysis
Nationally certified as a 'Board Certified Behavior Analyst' (BCBA) or certified by a similar nationally recognized organization or licensed by the State Board of Examiners
Two (2) years of directly supervised experience developing and implementing behavioral support plans utilizing established approaches including Behavioral Analysis or Positive Behavioral Supports that are consistent with best practice and research on effectiveness for individuals with developmental disabilities
