Start in 2026 SummerTesla is a leading electric vehicle and clean energy company, and they are seeking an intern for their Silicon Systems Validation team. The intern will validate high-speed Serdes, perform system-level power characterization, and troubleshoot hardware issues, while collaborating with diverse teams on hardware design and firmware development.

Responsibilities
Create and execute synthetic workloads that stress the various functional blocks inside the silicon platforms such as the GPU, Fabric, Neural Network, Camera Interface etc
Assist in identifying and fixing any hardware bugs before going into production
Bring up and characterize Autopilot Custom Silicon and PCBA
Collaborate with diverse teams in hardware design, schematic reviews, firmware development, and building automated test infrastructures
Write test plans, develop test cases, and catch design bugs before production
Characterize and improve power and performance consumption at a system level
Perform Failure Analysis on CM and field return units
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experience with analog and digital circuit design and PCBA
Experience with PCB component selection
Experience in MATLAB, Python, Linux, C/C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis
Experience on using test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, VNA, etc
Knowledge of computer architecture
