Education
Responsibilities
Engages in research activities such as design and perform experiments and record and analyze data
Assists in the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts
May oversee undergraduate research projects
Assists with laboratory maintenance, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, and ordering and stocking of equipment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in the area of study
Some experience conducting research
Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Responsible and professional
Knowledge of scientific principles, laboratory safety practices, laboratory terminology, equipment, materials, and procedures and laboratory methods relating to field of study
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (e.g., Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, Adobe and/or Corel Graphics, other field related programs)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
Preferred
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Experience in writing and preparing scientific manuscripts
