Responsibilities
Administering and optimizing the Energy Management System (EMS) through application configuration, tuning, and security patching
Performing technical corrective actions to restore failed or degraded EMS services
Conducting code reviews, deployment, testing, and monitoring of break/fix patches and system modifications
Working on live customer systems, including installing and validating fixes
Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across integrated systems and platforms
Qualification
Required
Over 5 years of experience in Power System Applications (Generation), including Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Load Frequency Control, Load Forecasting, Economic Dispatch, Power Flow, and Operator Training Simulator (OTS)
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following platforms: GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21), AEMS/GDC Platform Software, EMS platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider, or similar
Proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating environments
Experience with communication protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, Modbus, or ICCP
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
Programming experience for system integration using languages such as C, C++, PERL, or similar
Strong skills in SQL, shell scripting, and the ability to read, interpret, and debug system logs
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a methodical and analytical approach to debugging
Preferred
SCADA experience is highly desirable
