Insight Global is seeking a permanent direct-hire Estimator to join their growing team. This role involves leading bid preparation, conducting detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers and clients to support negotiations and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

Leads compliant, competitive bid preparation by analyzing bid docs, bonding/insurance, and wage requirements
Completes accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment, unit pricing)
Reviews specs and drawings to define full scope
Leverages historical data to sharpen assumptions and recommends value‑driven design options that balance cost, quality, and material availability
Partners with project managers and procurement to support negotiations, change orders, and project controls with clear cost breakdowns
Conducts rigorous final estimate reviews before submission
Collaborates with clients and leadership on pre‑qual and bid presentations
Supports business development through proposal input, tracking prospects, early client engagement, and preliminary estimating during the sales process

Qualification

Commercial estimatingProcoreConstruction management degreeEngineering degreeProject trackingBusiness development

Required

4-year degree in construction management, engineering degree, or similar
5+ years' experience as commercial estimator (NOT RESIDENTIAL)
Procore or similar estimation software (Procore used here)
Experience in tracking down/developing new projects/leads

Preferred

Ideally, establish the GCG Estimation department in the future!
