Operations Associate
Blueprint Biosecurity is seeking full-time Operations Associates to be a driving force behind our day-to-day execution. This role involves managing various operational tasks, maintaining documentation, and supporting compliance efforts as the organization scales.
Responsibilities
Own the myriad of ad-hoc admin and quality assurance tasks as they arise; spot and fix small issues before they become big ones
Write and maintain quick start guides and SOPs to keep our internal knowledge base current and easy to navigate
Keep our internal knowledge base clean and easy to navigate, write and maintain quick start guides and SOPs, and ensure nothing gets lost or outdated
Handle basic technology troubleshooting, access management, and data cleaning across Coda, Google Workspace, Asana, and other tools
Serve as the first line of defense for our administrative inboxes, ensuring our responses are sent on time and questions are answered
Jump in where needed to support and accelerate the team’s work
Support day-to-day execution of our compliance calendar, coordinating with the Grants and Compliance team to keep deadlines clear, tracked, and met
Proactively support team members on expense reports, timesheets, and other routine submissions to keep records current and accurate
Build and implement data tracking systems for external reporting
Experiment with AI tools and lightweight automations to reduce repetitive work and improve efficiency
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience owning and executing operationally complex work, including managing details, deadlines, and follow-through in a professional environment
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work independently
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with everyday tools such as Coda, Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, and other platforms, or the ability to learn them fast
Interest and experience using and/or implementing AI tools
Preferred
Experience thriving in scaling organizations, with comfort building processes from scratch and figuring things out as you go
Experience collaborating within a remote team environment
Experience in basic finance functions, organizational compliance, or data tracking
Track record of documenting processes concisely and holding people accountable to organizational standards
