Responsibilities
Develop detailed designs and drawings in SolidWorks (ASME Y14.5), transforming customer concepts and team input into high-quality, manufacturable products
Translate engineering proposals and specs into manufacturable products, including tooling and fixturing designs using DFMA principles
Design, analyze, and prototype components for the world’s most demanding industries
Research and recommend materials, tolerances, GD&T, and finishes to achieve design intent
Perform complex engineering calculations (strength, pressure, effective areas) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Lead design reviews and support ECO revisions
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and deliver optimal design solutions
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required
Minimum of 5 years mechanical design experience in manufacturing
Minimum 2 years SolidWorks & Product Data Management (PDM) expertise
Formal Training in 3D Modeling, FEA, CFD, Thermal Analyses
Preferred
experience with Model Based Definition (MBD), DriveWorks, Product Life Management (PLM)
