Responsibilities
Work closely with the project manager to ensure the efficient processing of 3D laser scan data, providing critical insights to support project deliverables
Conduct daily field data capture and preprocessing of 3D Lidar data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Provide office staff with notes on field data that was acquired
Collaborate with the project manager to tackle complex challenges and develop innovative solutions
Demonstrate SAM's vision and mission, while successfully performing its core values related to employees, ethics, operational excellence, safety, integrity and corporate social responsibility
Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish SAM's strategic goals
Travel nationally to job sites up to 100% of the time
Qualification
Required
Proficient in technical field skills
Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude
Ability to interpret and understand 2D floor plans effectively
Strong communication skills, including the ability to document and describe existing field conditions
Willingness to learn new tools and technologies in a fast-paced field environment
Travel nationally to job sites up to 100% of the time
Preferred
1-3+ years of laser scanning experience is preferred, but not required - we are open to training motivated candidates
Interest in or exposure to 3D laser scanning technology - NavVis, Leica, FARO, Trimble
Experience with Revit or AutoCAD is a plus but not required
