Responsibilities
Research and evaluation of Data Privacy and Data Breach laws and regulations in the United States (Federal and State), Canada, and Worldwide
Research and evaluation of emerging Data Privacy and Data Breach law and regulation trends
Contracts, including Data Privacy and Data Breach provisions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Data Sharing Agreements
Policy review and development, including data access and controls, data use, data protections, and privacy incidents
Special projects, including privacy issues concerning mobile applications, and privacy issues concerning data collected from website use
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be enrolled in, or about to commence, either: An LL.M. program in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy or similar area, OR Enrolled in, or about to commence, as a full-time law student at accredited law school in New York State (2L or 3L preferred)
Preferred
Strong computer research skills, such as Lexis
Strong writing and editing skills
Background in Data Privacy, Information Security, or Cybersecurity
Desire to work in public service
Strong interest in Data Privacy
