Sr. Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Engineer
Confidential is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. This role involves driving projects from concept to completion while collaborating with Project Managers, architects, and clients, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities
Lead Documentation: Oversee the preparation of construction documents, including drawings, schedules, details, and specifications for MEP/FP systems
Technical Analysis: Perform and review advanced engineering calculations, such as thermal load analysis, airflow, hydraulics, and short-circuit studies
Site Evaluation: Conduct site surveys to assess existing conditions against design intent and code requirements
Quality Control: Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
Cross-Discipline Coordination: Work with architectural and structural teams to optimize designs and resolve system conflicts
Client Engagement: Provide technical guidance and recommendations during design reviews and client meetings
Construction Support: Manage construction administration activities, including site visits, punch lists, and field issue resolution
Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and designers, providing technical oversight and feedback
Project Support: Assist Project Managers with scope development, fee proposals, and schedule planning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, or related field)
7-10+ years of relevant MEP engineering experience in consulting or design environments
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or the ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe)
Prior healthcare experience a big plus
Transportation or higher ed experience
