Responsibilities
Participate in building, testing, and servicing SedMed products in the office
Assist with the design process for product improvements and accessories
Visit eldercare facilities and rehab hospitals to install SedMed Toilet Lifts and learn about our customers
Meet with SedMed advisers, customers, and end-users to gather insights on customer needs for future products and feedback on existing products
Collaborate with engineers and advisers to assist in the design process
Learn about the patent writing process and participate in meetings with patent lawyers
Participate in discussions with manufacturers to understand the manufacturing process
Build, install, and service products in the field
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a college-level or graduate-level mechanical engineering program
Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with mobility impairments
Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and fabrication techniques
Ability to come onsite to Milford, CT office for 1-2 days a week for at least 8 hours total per week with additional remote work opportunities
