Responsibilities
Assist in development of packaging designs, materials, and processes
Create Product Specifications to document key product design information utilized by customers, manufacturing, and suppliers
Asses recent developments in sustainable materials and market requirements for flexible packaging
Evaluate our current flexible packaging test methods and identify improvements to lower cost and/or improve quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, marketing) to ensure specifications meet all necessary requirements
Implement improvement ideas generated by process improvement system
Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled at an accredited institution, working towards a Bachelor's degree with a focus in engineering packaging or similar related field
Excellent mechanical and technical skills
Eagerness to develop analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-function teams
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
Occasional lifting, carrying, stooping, crouching, crawling, and bending
Be able to handle, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
Requires the ability to see, hear, touch, and smell
Working in a manufacturing environment
