Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electrocardiograph machine
Review patient's record and instruct patients prior to procedures
Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings
Identify and correct for artifacts
Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation
Maintain EKG equipment and supplies
Qualification
Required
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
