Warehouse Automation Engineer
BridgeView is a talent and technology consulting company that helps business leaders build exceptional technology teams. They are seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for advanced robotics and automation solutions, focusing on system reliability and troubleshooting complex issues.
Responsibilities
Provide on-site technical support, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime
Respond promptly to service requests while communicating clearly with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve overall satisfaction
Deliver technical training to users and system integrators on equipment operation, safety procedures, and common troubleshooting scenarios
Document, analyze, and report recurring technical issues; identify root causes and recommend corrective or preventive actions
Collaborate closely with internal engineering, service, and operations teams to maintain service quality and operational efficiency
Manage spare parts inventory, including ordering, availability, and quality control
Perform additional service-related duties as needed to support operational success
Qualification
Required
1–2 years of experience in warehouse automation support, field service engineering, or a resident engineering role
Ability to learn, operate, and support mechanical, electrical, and logistics software systems
Hands-on experience with technical tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance instruments
Working knowledge of WMS integrations and PLC-controlled systems
Experience with Linux/UNIX environments, SQL, and basic scripting for task automation
Basic understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and routers
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in an on-site environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Robotics, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
