Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 quality management system, including audit support, document control, and continuous improvement activities
Lead AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) preparation, review, and submission aligned to aerospace customer requirements
Coordinate and manage IATF 16949 PPAP documentation inputs, customer submissions, and internal readiness assessments
Lead and support CAPA execution using structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, Control Plans)
Support production-related customer feedback investigations, product evaluations, corrective actions, and trend analysis coordination
Apply SPC and capability studies to monitor product/process performance and drive quality improvements
Develop and execute qualification/validation protocols for new or changed equipment, processes, or systems using IQ/OQ/PQ methodologies
Perform and/or support material testing and dimensional inspections to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and customer standards
Develop, maintain, and control QMS documentation (policies, procedures, forms, records) and ensure alignment to process changes and corrective actions
Lead cross-functional process improvement and kaizen activities to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance
Deliver training on quality systems, standards, tools, and procedures to support QMS adherence
Generate and manage quality documentation including Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), PPAPs, FAIRs, IMDS submissions, and calibration records
Evaluate quality risk and documentation requirements for engineering, process, or supplier changes and support change management validation activities
Follow and promote site safety policies while performing all duties
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a quality engineering or quality systems role within a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements
Hands-on experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
Hands-on experience with IATF 16949 Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation
Experience supporting internal audits and document control activities
Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using quality tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, Control Plans)
Experience with material testing and dimensional inspection to engineering drawings/specifications
Experience using statistical methods (SPC, process capability studies, trend analysis)
Experience supporting process/equipment qualification and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ or equivalent protocols)
Ability to generate and manage quality records (e.g., CoCs, CARs, PPAPs, FAIRs, calibration records)
Ability to support change management by assessing quality impact/risk and ensuring documentation and validation
