Responsibilities
Designing and owning battery test systems at the cell, module, or pack level
Developing and automating test workflows using LabVIEW
Using Python for test scripting, data analysis, and tooling
Executing charge/discharge cycling, performance, degradation, thermal, and validation testing
Owning test infrastructure including instrumentation, DAQ, sensors, and fixtures
Improving test repeatability, data quality, and overall test workflows
Collaborating with electrical, systems, and software engineers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on battery testing or validation experience
Strong experience with LabVIEW in a testing or lab environment
Strong experience using Python for automation or analysis
Experience owning and operating battery test setups, not just running tests
Comfort working in lab environments and troubleshooting real hardware
Strong understanding of battery behavior and test methodologies
Preferred
Experience across multiple battery levels (cell, module, pack)
Experience scaling or improving test infrastructure
Exposure to manufacturing or production testing environments
Background in EV, energy storage, aerospace, or robotics
Benefits
Location flexibility: LA with Bay Area travel or fully Bay Area–based
Strong compensation (targeting around the $200k range, flexible)
