Machinery Controls System Technician
The GBS Group is seeking a Machinery Controls System Technician to provide engineering support, testing, training, and installation of software upgrades for LSD Machinery Control Systems to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division. The role involves providing technical support, modifying and troubleshooting PLCs, and performing shipboard software upgrades and assessments.

Responsibilities
Provide distance and on-site LSD MCS Fleet Technical Support
Modify, implement and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs
Support shipboard test procedure development and implementation
Provide On-The-Job-Training (OJT) and MCS Software Refresher Training
Perform MCS grooms and assessments such as Pre-Installation Check-Outs (PICOs) and C5RA aboard lSD class ships
Perform shipboard software upgrades during shipboard alterations of applicable LSD Class Ship Change Documents (SCDs)
Review and provide updates of all LSD class MCS Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) products, including technical manuals, Preventative Maintenance Systems products, and Allowance Parts Lists (APLs)

Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance or able to obtain one
High School Diploma or equivalent
Target Experience: Three (3) years of relevant machinery controls work
The contractor shall be proficient in reading and understanding complex electromechanical engineering drawings/blueprints
Effective communicator (oral and written)
Preferred
Prior naval experience on integrated Logistics System information and control systems. Amphibious ship classes (LSD, LHD/LHA) is preferred
A engineering degree is preferred
