Fortuna is a staffing agency seeking a Scrum Master to support a California Department of Public Health health IT initiative. The role involves leading Agile delivery for health data systems, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and guiding teams through the full SDLC execution.

Responsibilities

Lead IT development activities through all phases of the SDLC. Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams supporting system development and maintenance

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

Remove impediments and coach teams on Agile and Scrum best practices

Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to manage and prioritize backlogs

Support delivery of health data systems or health information exchange platforms

Provide status reporting, risk tracking, and delivery metrics to leadership

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience leading IT development through all SDLC phases

Minimum 3 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for system development or maintenance

1–3 years of experience supporting a health data system or health information exchange

Current Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field

NACES credential evaluation required for degrees not issued in English
