Responsibilities
Own end-to-end onboarding for all new hires:
Microsoft 365 account setup (email, Teams, SharePoint)
Laptop provisioning and security configuration
Verification of required software and endpoint protection
Manage offboarding to ensure:
Immediate access removal
Device recovery or disablement
Security and compliance standards are met
Ensure all company devices meet security and compliance standards
Monitor and respond to Microsoft security alerts and access issues
Enforce endpoint protection and least-privilege access policies
Partner with leadership and compliance teams to support secure operations
Act as the primary internal owner of the managed services provider (MSP)
Triage and assist in prioritizing helpdesk requests
Ensure SLA adherence, proper escalation, and resolution quality
Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
Manage laptop procurement, shipping, returns, and inventory tracking
Maintain accurate documentation of assigned devices and ownership
Coordinate device refresh and replacement cycles
Handle in-person hardware-related tasks and/or IT organization during periodic NYC visits
Own day-to-day administration of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools
Manage:
Site creation and permissions
Document libraries and access controls
Support business teams with secure, organized collaboration solutions
Ensure SharePoint governance and documentation standards are followed
Maintain clear IT documentation, including:
Onboarding/offboarding checklists
Hardware and security standards
IT procedures and workflows
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve operations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT management
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Azure AD)
Experience with endpoint security and device management (Sophos and ConnectWise a plus)
Prior experience working with managed service providers (MSPs)
Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-through skills
Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes
