Project Manager - Commercial, Mixed-Use, & Sports Facilities

WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm, currently seeking a Project Manager for their Texas/Louisiana Property & Buildings Team. The role involves leading multidisciplinary project teams for large-scale commercial, mixed-use developments, and sports stadium projects, ensuring project success from inception through completion.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary project teams from inception through completion for large-scale commercial, mixed-use developments, and sports stadium projects
Develop and implement project work plans, budgets, and schedules; obtain management/client approval
Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding project status, quality, and deliverables
Manage relationships with stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Oversee design coordination for building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology) and ensure compliance with codes and standards
Address change management promptly and professionally
Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, and budget; prepare cost and schedule reports
Support business development efforts including proposals and presentations for major sports and mixed-use projects
Manages local client coordination and cross-selling efforts in coordination with Regional Business Lines, National Business Lines, and Pursuit Management
Represent the firm in the facility-specific mixed use and sports entertainment markets through regular involvement in client and industry events and associations to promote intelligence gathering and pipeline development
Works with the Regional Development Director and Local Business Line Leaders to attract the best industry talent by fostering a collaborative work environment, values inclusion and diversity, and invites broad, creative thinking – crafting a more attractive place to work, grow, and thrive

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
7+ years of experience in project management for commercial, mixed-use, or sports facility projects
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects
Strong knowledge of building systems design and construction processes
Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE), Architect license, or PMP certification
Experience with large-scale sports venues or stadium projects
Familiarity with sustainability standards and advanced design technologies and project delivery models
