Required

American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR
Licensed by the State of California as Certified Phlebotomy Technician
Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or Paramedic certification
At least two (2) years recent experience as EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant with certified phlebotomy technician license (CPT)
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language and utilize medical terminology appropriately
Ability to set priorities and organize work
Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure
Familiar with principles of asepsis and hand hygiene
Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Familiarity with cost containment and maintenance of quality of care for patient through environment, equipment and documentation
Skills and knowledge to work with all department equipment, tools, IE, EKG, monitoring and diagnostic equipment, life support equipment/ambu-bags, gurneys, compressed air tanks, oxygen set-up, trays, packs with instruments, tongs, tubing, solutions, and supplies
Ability to anticipate the needs of patient appropriately
Ability to communicate concisely to all co-workers and patients
