Protocol Support Specialist
Bowhead / UIC Technical Services is a distinguished leader in providing innovative technical solutions and support services to government agencies and military organizations. The Protocol Support Specialist will be responsible for orchestrating high-profile events and ensuring that all protocol activities align with national and international standards, while serving as a key advisor to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and support events, meetings, visits, and ceremonies for S4S senior leaders and distinguished guests, ensuring all arrangements meet diplomatic and protocol standards
Develop protocol event products, perform room setups, and prepare materials to support official functions, ensuring readiness at least 24 hours prior to scheduled events
Draft, review, and finalize event books, coordination documents, and visitor support materials in collaboration with relevant offices and subject matter experts
Support the planning and execution of high-level visits, including drafting itineraries, coordinating with agencies, and managing logistics on the day of the event
Provide after-hours support as needed, coordinating with the Contracting Officer and Contractor Project Manager to ensure seamless event operations
Implement and enforce policies and procedures related to S4S protocol, social command functions, and foreign and domestic visits
Develop and transmit protocol programs, consolidating initiatives into an integrated protocol strategy aligned with organizational goals
Advise S4S senior leadership on protocol matters, monitoring activities and recommending improvements to enhance diplomatic effectiveness
Prepare after-action reports and evaluations following visits and events to ensure continuous improvement and compliance
Plan, direct, and oversee arrangements for official functions, including supporting distinguished visitors and high-ranking officials
Represent the S4S Protocol Office at higher organizational levels, conferences, and interagency meetings, delivering presentations on program status and achievements
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within S4S, other government agencies, and international partners to facilitate protocol activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3-10 years of experience in protocol, public affairs, or related areas
Extensive experience in developing and managing government protocol programs and content
Familiarity with Public Affairs processes and procedures to support PAO requests effectively
Proven ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and analysis on mission and program challenges
Must currently hold an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform periodic twisting, bending, and squatting
Preferred
Completion of protocol training, such as Protocol School of Washington or equivalent
