New Grad, Entry LevelBluewater Energy, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Electrical Equipment Technician (Trainee) to support installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of substation and generation related electrical equipment. This role is designed to develop hands-on field experience while working alongside experienced technicians and engineers.

Responsibilities
Assist with installation and commissioning of substation and generation equipment
Support acceptance testing of: Power transformers, Batteries and battery systems, Circuit breakers, CCVTs, PTs, Capacitor banks, FACTS devices
Perform oil sampling
Conduct infrared thermography inspections
Assist with vacuum bottle testing
Verify primary equipment operates per specifications
Support routine and corrective maintenance activities
Assist with regulatory compliance and environmental requirements
Conduct environmental inspections and corrective action support
Assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment issues
Support corrective actions during equipment outages (non-nuclear)
Work with senior technicians during outage events
Assist with pre job briefs and job planning
Complete required compliance paperwork and test documentation
Apply cybersecurity controls where required
Assist with procurement of replacement parts
Support Human Performance work zone strategies
Travel to various substations as assigned
Qualification
Required
Entry-level position
Support installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of substation and generation related electrical equipment

Field Installation & Commissioning Support
Assist with installation and commissioning of substation and generation equipment
Support acceptance testing of power transformers, batteries and battery systems, circuit breakers, CCVTs, PTs, capacitor banks, FACTS devices
Testing & Inspection Activities: Perform oil sampling, conduct infrared thermography inspections, assist with vacuum bottle testing, verify primary equipment operates per specifications
Maintenance & Compliance Support: Support routine and corrective maintenance activities, assist with regulatory compliance and environmental requirements, conduct environmental inspections and corrective action support
Troubleshooting & Field Support: Assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment issues, support corrective actions during equipment outages (non-nuclear), work with senior technicians during outage events
Documentation & Work Control: Assist with pre-job briefs and job planning, complete required compliance paperwork and test documentation, apply cybersecurity controls where required
Additional Support: Assist with procurement of replacement parts, support Human Performance work zone strategies, travel to various substations as assigned
