Responsibilities
Design responsibilities including product cost, timing, durability, safety, performance, manufacturability, and quality
Responsible for the analysis, or oversight of the analysis, of proposed engineering designs using calculations, testing, data acquisition and processing, computer simulation methods or other techniques as needed
Directs and participates in the construction and testing of prototypes to evaluate product design and functionality
Solicits and evaluates input from various sources to meet project and customer requirements and ensure manufacturability
Reviews product designs for compliance with standard engineering practices, company and industry standards, customer requirements, and related specifications
Creates and maintains essential design information and documentation, including models, drafts, schematics, and purchased part documentation, as well as supporting technical publications
Assists the Test department in developing and following test plans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or closely related engineering field
Engineer II-Minimum 3-4 years experience in a product design or related engineering role
Engineer III - Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a product design or related engineering role
Experience in material specifications for various design applications by applying metallurgical expertise
Experience with CAD software & solid modeling. Experience regarding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods and tolerance stack analysis
Design experience regarding machining, turning, molding, casting, and other manufacturing processes
Interest in mobile equipment design and operation
Preferred
Experience with electrical and/or robotic systems
