Responsibilities
Obtain and document routine vital signs
Treadmill exercise tolerance tests
Stress echocardiograms
Nuclear stress tests
Identify abnormalities during testing, determine corrective actions, and elevate to appropriate provider during an emergency
Performing Electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) and bring abnormal findings to providers
Prepares patient for the visit using established patient preparation guidelines, collecting appropriate and accurate data, and providing all aspects of primary support to the provider
Operate Q-Stress equipment, sphygmomanometer, Epic and Merge application with proficiency
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
2 years of cardiac / medical experience required
Must pass CCT within 1 year of hire date
Current BLS certification
Must have Completed Basic Arrhythmia course-must be obtained in 90 days if not current
Preferred
Medical Assistant diploma plus 2-years cardiology experience in an outpatient clinic preferred
Previous MA -medical assistant advance experience preferred
Knowledge of complex cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias preferred
