Patient Service Representative

The Patient Service Representative will perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration, ensuring effective communication with clinical staff and managing patient information and payments.

Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors, respond to questions/concerns and directs them to appropriate location
Provide on-going communication with clinical staff regarding patient status
Collect and enter all necessary demographic, clinical, billing and insurance information from patients or responsible parties
Explain processes and forms to patients prior to securing signatures and ensure that all documents are properly signed and witnessed as required
Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Previous education in medical terminology
Experience in the job related field
