InternHanwha Philly Shipyard is seeking a Piping Design Engineering Intern to assist in various engineering activities. The intern will support design engineers, perform field engineering tasks, and help coordinate materials and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are communicated, understood, and followed
Perform field engineering activities and support resolution of production issues
Create and distribute Engineering Work Packages
Assist design engineers in reviewing Basic, Detail, and Production Design drawings
Assist with creation of Design Change Notices, including drawing preparation or revisions
Assist with sea trial preparations
Support subcontractor and material coordination
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required
Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing degrees in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Naval Architecture
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and subcontractors
U.S. work authorization required — no sponsorship available
Preferred
Familiarity with engineering and project software such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and AVEVA
Exposure to production, construction, or manufacturing environments
