Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer
HEICO is a company seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to provide engineering design and support for specialized test systems and fixtures. The role involves developing mechanical and electromechanical skills, completing test documentation, and working with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.

Responsibilities
Develop mechanical design and drafting skills, including basic machining knowledge as applicable. Be key focus and provide expertise on new product introduction
Develop electromechanical skills to include understanding and use of switches and sensors, application and measurement of mechanical load and position
Complete appropriate test documentation and certifying to test results
Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment and techniques
Other duties may also be assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar field from a four-year college or university
2 - 3 years of working experience in the aerospace industry
Good written and verbal communication skills are required
Interface with a variety of team members in a dynamic environment
Provide written documentation to support equipment functions
Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and networking skills are required
Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills
Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis
Leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate work to subordinates, and the ability to evaluate and positively influence performance
Have exceptionally high level of commitment to the success of individuals and overall projects
Be willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed
Proficient in use of typical MRP system software, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
Must have familiarity with standard Microsoft office suite
Must be able to generate and update CAD models and drawings using Solidworks and / or Inventor programs
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to apply mathematical concepts related to engineering principals needed to perform the job requirements
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Is frequently required to talk or listen
Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel
Is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds
Works in moderate noise levels
Preferred
Aviation component repair or manufacturing experience a plus
NI / Labview experience, electrical aptitude, military, and aerospace industry experience are all a plus
