Responsibilities
Serve as the senior manufacturing engineering liaison for externally manufactured sensor programs
Provide engineering oversight and coordination across manufacturing readiness, material planning, and CMO operations (no hands-on work)
Partner closely with Supply Chain and Materials Planning on demand alignment, material availability, resource planning, and capacity planning
Lead and coordinate manufacturing-related initiatives, including material changes, process updates, and manufacturing improvements
Identify and mitigate risks related to material supply, lead times, process readiness, validation, and scale-up
Act as the primary interface with CMOs, supporting manufacturing reviews, supply reviews, and issue escalation
Provide informed oversight of wet chemistry–based manufacturing processes
Support engineering and material changes (ECR/ECOs), validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ), and regulatory interactions
Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline
10+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, or operations
Experience supporting manufacturing programs with external CMOs
Background in supply chain and materials planning within a manufacturing engineering role
Working knowledge of wet chemistry–based manufacturing environments (hands-on not required)
Experience leading manufacturing initiatives or projects as an engineer
Experience in ISO 13485–regulated environments
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Preferred
Experience with sensor, biosensor, diagnostic, or glucose monitoring products
Exposure to manufacturing scale-up or supplier transfers
Familiarity with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Project management training or equivalent experience
