Aviation Engineer II – STARS / TBFM
Dorkin Inc. provides mission-critical support to government programs through expertise in operations, engineering, data, and IT services. They are seeking an Engineer II to provide technical expertise in aviation technologies, specifically supporting the analysis, integration, and optimization of FAA air traffic management systems such as STARS and TBFM.
Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for STARS and TBFM systems across terminal and flow management operations
Apply advanced technologies and engineering principles to meet mission and operational requirements
Support system integration, testing, validation, and operational readiness activities
Analyze system performance, identify issues, and recommend technical solutions and improvements
Support requirements analysis, technical documentation, and system configuration management
Collaborate with air traffic operations, engineering, and program management teams
Assist with troubleshooting, risk identification, and mitigation efforts
Qualification
Required
Experience supporting FAA or aviation systems, with direct experience in STARS and/or TBFM
Knowledge of air traffic control operations, terminal environments, or traffic flow management concepts
Ability to apply engineering principles to complex, mission-critical systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience supporting FAA modernization or NAS programs
Familiarity with system lifecycle activities, including requirements, testing, and implementation
Experience working in government or regulated aviation environments
