Responsibilities

Creates engineering drawings for aircraft modifications and/or repairs
Completes models and drawings using Catia design software
Hand sketches design configurations to articulate concepts
Works closely with other departments to clarify engineering drawing/document requirements
Conducts liaison engineering as needed
Performs survey measurement of existing airframe structure for reverse engineering purposes
Completes structural analysis for aircraft modification and repairs
Communicates with stress analysts and airframe mechanics to complete repair drawings
Collaborates with senior designers and draftsmen to complete engineering drawing packages
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Strong organizational and communications skills, verbal and written
Strong attention to detail and creative problem solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical data, repair drawings and/or engineering drawings
Experience in MS Office Suite and strong computer skills for report writing and analysis preparation
Current enrollment in a bachelors program at an accredited university in the field of Mechanical, Aeronautical and/or Aerospace Engineering
No prior experience necessary

Preferred

Prior internship activities in the aerospace industry a plus
