InternHanwha Philly Shipyard is seeking a Purchasing Intern to assist in various procurement and purchasing activities. The intern will conduct data analysis, monitor shipments, and support the department in projects to ensure timely production support.

Responsibilities
Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are communicated, understood, and followed
Conduct data analysis by pulling data and creating reports to track progress and support decision-making
Assist in monitoring shipments and deliveries of materials to ensure timely support for Production
Assist procurement and purchasing in their daily production support activities
Create and/or modify reports
Input data into ERP/SAP program and HPSI’s scheduling software Primavera P6
Produce Material Expedite Report
Support department in miscellaneous projects
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required
Rising Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management or industrial engineering
Minimum GPA: 3.0
U.S. work authorization required — no sponsorship available
Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are communicated, understood, and followed
Conduct data analysis by pulling data and creating reports to track progress and support decision-making
Assist in monitoring shipments and deliveries of materials to ensure timely support for Production
Assist procurement and purchasing in their daily production support activities
Create and/or modify reports
Input data into ERP/SAP program and HPSI's scheduling software Primavera P6

Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Ability to collect, interpret, and present data clearly to support decision making and process improvements
Ensuring accuracy in data entry, reporting, and materials tracking
Understanding the bigger picture, identifying trends, and helping the team make data-driven decisions that improve operations
Comfortable using ERP/SAP systems, scheduling software (Primavera P6), and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Effectively managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Clearly and professionally communicating with team members across procurement, production, and management
Working effectively with cross-functional teams to support production and procurement goals
Identifying potential issues in material delivery or data processes and supporting solutions
Adjusting to changing priorities, project needs, and fast-paced operational demands
Understanding and following all HPSI safety procedures, rules, and regulations
Taking ownership of tasks and contributing proactively to departmental projects
Preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) or scheduling software (Primavera P6) is a plus
Experience with data analysis, reporting, or Microsoft Excel is advantageous
Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
